This collection is a collaborative project with Casita No.8, employing Otomi artisans in Mexico to hand-embroider the colorful designs and refugee women in Dallas to create the ornaments. Every ornament reflects a unique floral or animal design, and each one has a unique color combination chosen by the artisan. They are backed with colorful striped fabric that is also cut uniquely to each ornament and embellished with a brilliantly colored handmade beaded tassel. Each ornament is truly one-of-a-kind and tells a beautiful story of resilience and hard work.
